## What is Ornament needed for?
Ornament means continuous monitoring for your health. It stores the results of tests you’ve had done, analyzes information, displays how your body’s systems are doing, and gives recommendations for further steps. Ornament does not cure you — it helps you to not get sick! Ornament also includes a support community where anyone can ask questions and get a variety of responses.

## What does Ornament know how to do?
Ornament processes and stores lab test results and dynamically tracks any changes that apply to you. You can send the results of laboratory tests to us for digitization or enter the data manually. After either method, the information then appears in the app. Ornament currently has information on more than 3,400 biomarkers, and we constantly add more. Based on the results of your analyses, Ornament points out what systems or biomarkers need more of your attention. We also have the Community — a space where you can anonymously talk about your indicators, ask health-related questions, and engage with Ornament users and those who can provide consultations on your medical tests.

## Can Ornament replace my doctor?
Under no circumstances can Ornament ever replace a medical consultant or exam. It is important to regularly visit a physician and specialists, even if nothing is bothering you. Ornament helps you monitor your health, notices early deviations in indicators, and track the dynamics of your health. This is to keep you healthy for as long as possible, but Ornament is not a doctor.

## Where do you store information?
We work with the best and selected data centers only. We work with the data centers using advanced technologies to encrypt all data. Backup copies are kept updated so that nothing is lost. All data transmission is done through protected protocols, and all personal data is accessible only by the account owner.

## How do you protect the data?
We use SSO technology to protect users’ records. SSO is a convenient and highly reliable data protection system that enables only the owner to have access to data. Account owners can also choose devices that are permitted.
Sometimes, Ornament may handle data directly for additional verification. When this occurs, all data is anonymous — no personal data or identifiers is transmitted.

## How can I be sure that my personal information will not enter the public domain?
Ornament does not need your name to find the best way to monitor your health. You can use Ornament with any name — even a fictional one. No verification is required to use the application.
We don’t store or even see payment data: payment is processed through the App Store or Google Play.

## What will happen to my data if I delete the account?
All information will be fully deleted without the option to restore it.

Personal data protection

To ensure the accuracy of results and interpretations, it is important that they are processed correctly. Therefore, we have rules that are important to follow.

## Supported documents and formats
1. Ornament can recognize the file formats \*.jpg, (\*.jpeg), \*.png, \*.pdf
2. A file must be no more than 30 MB in size.
3. Ornament cannot process handwritten text. All information must be typed.
4. Ornament supports various languages. The recognition accuracy depends on the language of the document. The accuracy rate is higher when the names of biomarkers or examinations are duplicated in the Latin alphabet. Mandatory requirements:
 - Lab test results must be supplied in table form.
 - Each biomarker should be on its own separate line.
 - Each biomarker should have only one value, and a measurement unit is required.
 - A reference interval can also be specified.
 - A biomarker can appear only once in one lab result.
 - In the document with lab test results for different dates, the data for the day closest to the date of digitization will be digitized. Separate the documents with different dates (you can take screenshots) and send them to the application separately to avoid losing the necessary data.
5. Ornament will process your analysis quicker if:
 - The document was photographed or scanned straight without any tilting.
 - The document is in focus and evenly lit.
 - No other objects are in frame.
 - There is one sheet of paper per photo.

## Uploading data
1. You can take pictures of reports in Ornament, or you can upload photos and PDFs from your phone.
2. Reports can be uploaded by emailing them to [labs@orna.me](mailto:labs@orna.me). This works only for users registered in the application.
3. We do not process requests from people who are not registered in Ornament.
4. Each document can be uploaded only once.

## Analysis processing
To ensure accuracy, we double-check all results. As such, result uploading is not instantaneous. In most cases, processing takes no more than two business days.
Despite additional checking, errors can still occur. After your results have digitized, it is best to compare them to your original document. Discrepancies can be corrected manually.

## Biomarkers
Currently, there are more than 4500+ biomarkers in Ornament’s database. We are constantly expanding our information, but it is still incomplete. If any biomarkers from an uploaded report are missing, the rest of the test will still be digitized. You can also request new biomarkers be added. 

Ornament will not include any biomarker values given in units of measurement not present in the app. Typos or other mistakes in biomarker names may also cause them to not upload correctly. If a biomarker is later added to the database, you can manually update your previous results to include it.

## How can I download and install the app?
Ornament is available in the App Store and Google Play Store. After downloading and opening the app, enter and confirm your email address. Confirmation is done using a code sent to your email address. After filling out a profile, the application is ready to use.

## What should I do if I don’t receive a confirmation code?
Check to see if it wound up in your spam folder. If it’s also not there, please contact technical support. This can be done through the Settings section of the app or on the Ornament website.

## How and why should I create a profile?
Profiles can be created through the app. Separate profiles can be created for all your family members, both children and adults. The main profile must be someone 18 years or older.
Profiles allow Ornament to provide more specific reference values for biomarkers. Reference values in the app take into account the sex and age of the user’s profile to provide more relevant information.

## How can I upload test results?
You can upload images of test results directly in the application, in the "Lab tests" section, or you can upload photos and pdf files from your telephone. In addition, you can upload the results by sending or forwarding them to the email labs@orna.me in PDF format. The file must be sent from an address that has been registered in Ornament’s system. One document can be uploaded only once. In addition, data can be entered manually.

## Can I upload results of instrumental examinations like MRI scans?
Yes. The results of medical ultrasounds, MRI scans, and CT scans can be stored in the application.

## What document formats does Ornament support?
Ornament supports documents uploaded in JPG, PNG, and PDF file formats. Any file must be no more than 30 MB. Ornament cannot process handwritten text — all information must be typed. Currently, Ornament supports results in English or Russian.
In order for us to correctly process a laboratory analysis:

- The analysis must be formatted as a table.
- Each biomarker must be on a separate line.
- Each biomarker must have only one value. A reference interval can also be specified.
- A biomarker can occur only once per analysis.
- Photographs should be clear, evenly lit, and free of other items. Only one page per photograph is supported. Results will process more easily if documents are photographed or scanned straight without any tilting.

## Why are my results not immediately visible in the app?
Ornament additionally verifies all results to ensure accuracy. Processing can take several minutes up to one day. After verification, results will appear in the app.
Even after additional verification, errors may still occur. Ensure the information in Ornament is accurate by comparing with the original document. If any errors have occurred, you can manually correct them in the app.

## How can I find out if my results uploaded properly?
When the test has finished processing, a push notification is sent.

## What do the symbols near biomarkers mean?
Green or yellow signs are placed near each biomarker indicator. 
The green circle means that the reference values are within normal. 
The yellow arrow means that the indicator is either above or below normal levels.
The dark green circle indicates that the biomarker is at the optimal level.
If pregnancy mode is enabled, a special icon will appear on the chart.

## Can I access Ornament using a different device?
If you log into your account from another device, all of your previous data will be available. To save new data, the Cloud Storage function must be enabled through the Settings section in the app. If you bought a subscription to Ornament, you can restore your account on the new device through the Settings in the Ornament app.

## How can I share my tests with another person?
If you have a basic account, you can send a link to the test for another Ornament user to access. Ornament Plus users also have the option to export their tests as PDF files or share data through email or text message.

## How can I be sure that my tests will not be lost?
Digital results are linked to your account and specific email address. So long as Cloud Storage is enabled (it is by default), images and results will be saved to the account.

## How can I post a question for a medical advisor?
Through our Community section, you can ask questions for the Ornament medical advisor or other application subscribers. You can do so through the “Start the Discussion” button by selecting a topic and writing your message. Our medical advisor usually answers within one day. Please note that our physicians only advise on laboratory test results. Currently, consultations are only available to Russian users.

## How can I access the Pregnancy mode?
An Ornament Plus subscription is required to use the Pregnancy mode. This grants access to the Pregnancy Schedule, specific information for expectant mothers, and extra biomarker analysis to monitor the health of you and your child.

## How can I delete my account?
You can delete your account in the Settings section. Note that this action is irreversible and all information you have loaded will be lost.

How it works

Using one account, you can make separate profiles and monitor the health of multiple family members, including children. An important note: Ornament only provides analytics for adult data. Children develop in different ways, making it impossible to display average values or automatically analyze data.

You can create additional profiles in the “More” section by clicking on the plus sign in the list of profiles.

When adding test results, you must switch to the profile of the family member whose tests you want to upload. If you email test results, they are automatically applied to the main account profile. To transfer the results to another profile, go to the "Analyzes" tab, select the required report, and tap the "Pencil" button in the upper right corner of the screen. There you can select the profile you want. This same method can be used to change the profile for an already digitized report.

The main profile in the application must be a profile of a person over 18 years old.

You can upload your family member’s health information if you have access to the information with their consent, or under applicable domestic laws. Usually, you can upload tests from your minor children (under 13) if there are no restriction orders. 

Otherwise, your actions may violate Ornament’s [Terms of Use](/legals/terms-of-use).

Creating multiple profiles

You can share digitized test results with your doctor or any other interested person. This can be done in several ways.

1. On the Labs screen, tap the image with three dots in the upper right corner. In the tab that appears, select the “Share Labs” option. On the same screen, you can select a user profile and one or more tests you want to show your doctor. Once you have made your selection, click on “Share Labs” in the left corner. The app will generate a report. You can copy the link to it and send it by email, messenger, or any other method you prefer.
2. You can also send the report from the Monitor screen. Navigate to the same menu as before by tapping the image with three dots in the upper right corner of the screen. Select the “Biomarkers” tab within this menu. In the tab that appears, select the “Share Labs” option.
3. Finally, you can generate a PDF file. On both the Assays and Monitor screens, you can generate a PDF file and download it to your phone. The final document can then be shared.
